CYMS Felicitates Dr. Umma Adamu Sani, Commends Emir of Zazzau for Honoring Her with Traditional Title

The Committee of Youth on Mobilization and Sensitization (CYMS), led by the Director General, Chief Obinna Nwaka, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Umma Adamu Sani on her recent turbaning by the Emir of Zazzau, Dr. Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, CFR.

Dr. Umma, a distinguished entrepreneur, humanitarian, and politician, was conferred with the esteemed traditional title of Zinariyan Gabasawan Zazzau, meaning “A Precious Jewel,” in recognition of her outstanding contributions to society. The grand turbaning ceremony, held on Sunday, 22nd December 2024, in Zaria, Kaduna State, was attended by numerous dignitaries, CYMS officials, and well-wishers from across the region, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

As the Managing Director of the Adashe Women Empowerment Society and the Director of Gender and Humanitarian Affairs at CYMS, Dr. Umma has devoted her career to empowering marginalized groups, especially women and youth. Her tireless efforts in promoting gender equality and social justice have earned her widespread recognition.

During the ceremony, the Emir commended Dr. Umma’s invaluable contributions to the development of women and children, emphasizing her significant role in advancing socio-economic growth and humanitarian causes across Kaduna State and beyond.

In her response, Dr. Umma, a native of Kaduna State, expressed profound gratitude to the Emir for the honor and reiterated her commitment to continue advocating for women’s rights, human dignity, and positive societal change.
