The Director-General of the Committee of Youth on Mobilization and Sensitization (CYMS) and Nigerian Focal Person of the UGO Fellowship Programme, Chief Obinna Nwaka, has commended the South African Government for launching the UGO Fellowship Programme.
Nwaka described the initiative as a significant step towards youth empowerment, leadership development and stronger collaboration among young Africans.
He said the programme would provide young people with opportunities to acquire new skills, expand their networks, exchange ideas and contribute meaningfully to national and continental development.
The CYMS boss expressed optimism that the fellowship would help nurture a new generation of responsible African leaders while strengthening youth-to-youth relations between Nigeria, South Africa and other African countries.
He also encouraged eligible Nigerian youths to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the programme, assuring that he would continue to support initiatives that promote youth inclusion, leadership and good governance.
