In a grand ceremony held in Abuja, Chief Obinna Nwaka and Hajia Walida Siddique Isa have been honored with the prestigious Award of Honor for Quality Leadership and Service to Humanity. The recognition was presented to them by Igwe Obata – Obie 1 of Abuja, His Royal Highness, Ambassador David Kingston Okey-Dede, the Eze Ndigbo 1 of Maitama Abuja during the 2024 Ofala/Iwaji Festival.
The event in his Maitama Abuja palace recently celebrated the significant contributions of both leaders in youth empowerment, community development, and humanitarian services. Chief Obinna Nwaka, the Director General, of the Committee of Youth on Mobilization and Sensitization (CYMS), was recognized for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment towards the advancement of youth development, promotion of peace, and good governance in Nigeria, while Hajia Walida Siddique Isa, a retired NYSC Director, Corps Mobilization Department, was also honored for her excellent performance during civil service, humanitarian work, education, and her contributions to youth development in the country.
The ceremony, which brought together officials of CYMS and well-wishers, was a testament to the outstanding efforts of the honorees in creating lasting positive change in their communities. In his address, HRH Ambassador David Kingston praised both leaders for their dedication to the service of humanity. “Your exemplary service is a reflection of integrity, dedication, and hard work. We are proud to honor you today,” he said.
Chief Obinna Nwaka, in his acceptance speech, expressed gratitude for the recognition, emphasizing that the award was a collective achievement of the CYMS team. “Together, we strive to make a difference and serve humanity,” he stated. He further dedicated the award to his King, His Royal Highness, Eze Ven D C Ogamba of Ezihe Town, Isiala Mbano LGA Imo State.
Hajia Walida Siddique Isa also expressed her gratitude, stating that the recognition motivated her to continue her work with even greater dedication. “This honor humbles me, and I am determined to serve with more passion and commitment,” she said.
Other in attendance were Prince Boluwaji Adeyemi Qudus, CYMS’s Director Logistics, Comrade Stanley Ogbonna, NUHU Akurugba, Ruth Eluu, Sarah Nkwocha, Hosea Parah, etc
The ceremony concluded with a festive atmosphere as attendees celebrated the remarkable achievements of both honorees. This recognition further solidifies their leadership roles within CYMS and their dedication to making a positive impact in their communities and beyond.
