Chief Obinna Nwaka, the Director General of the Committee of Youth on Mobilization and Sensitization (CYMS), has been honored with the prestigious Young Inspiring Leader of the Year award.
The award was presented during the 10th anniversary celebration of the Face of Ajegunle (FOA) pageant, held on Sunday, December 15, 2024. The event, organized by Ms. Ogechi Lucee Akaedu, CEO of Olucee Brand International Ltd., saw the attendance of the CYMS team, friends, and supporters.
The glamorous celebration brought together numerous dignitaries, including the Honourable Minister of Youth Development, Engr Ayodele Olawande, the Senior Technical Advisor to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Prof Babatunde Bernard, the Chairman of Anjeromi Ifelodun Local Government Area, Engr. Ifeoma Stella Okengwu, CEO Winhomes Estate Global Service etc
During the festivities, Chief Obinna Nwaka was presented with the Young Inspiring Leader of the Year award. He also took the opportunity to crown and decorate Queen Rose Mary Chukwuemeka Ezinne as the 2nd Runner-Up of the Face of Ajegunle competition.
In his acceptance speech, Chief Nwaka expressed profound gratitude to everyone who supported the event, including Engr. Gift Ogar, Hon. Tambi Oluwagbenga, and Prince Boluwaji Adeyemi, CYMS’s Director Logistics. “I dedicate this award to my family and CYMS, and I pray to God for the journey mercies back to Abuja,” he stated.
The 10th anniversary of the Face of Ajegunle was a remarkable celebration of talent, leadership, and community spirit, with CYMS proudly contributing to this significant milestone.
